First Annual Bud Bash & Cannabis Cup presented by The Red Knight and Lifestyle 420
The Red Knight Yarmouth and Lifestyle 420 invite you to join us for a weekend of celebrating one year of legalization of cannabis! With 3 live bands, karaoke, lip-sync, cannabis competitions, vendor booths, education and all the munchies you could ask for! HOT BOX Smoke tent! The event will include an off-premise tent for legal consumption – Bring Your Own Cannabis!
With education opportunities and 3 classes available for the cannabis curious. These classes range from how to roll a joint, to how to setup and indoor grow. People can also learn how to infuse cannabis butter and extract cannabis into oil.
The event will host booths where vendors will sample their goods, and a lineup of bands. This year will see performances by: Soulshine, a 4pc band featuring mostly original music….Blues, Rock and Alternative. Driftwood People blend authentic songwriting with modern indie flare, followed by Headliner Honeymoon Driver. Confirmed vendors are Bad Influences Collector Shop, MUMM – the Maritimers Unite for Medical Marijuana Society, Smoky Quartz Emporium and Coast to Coast. Weekend passes include exclusive access to the Cannabis Cup on Saturday evening.
We are excited to provide the First-ever blind-tasting, consumer-judged cannabis competition in Nova Scotia. From 98 entrants we narrowed it down to 5 Official Cannabis Cup Judges. The judges have been notified, have received their kits, and will remain anonymous until Saturday, November 16th 10pm, when the Winner of the Cannabis Cup is announced.
Get Certified as an Official Cannabis Judge (CLOSED)
All judges are required to complete the qualifying questionnaire below which covers everything from basic plant knowledge to in-depth characteristics of cannabis. Applicants must “pass” the questionnaire with an 80%, in order to qualify to become a judge and be eligible for the FREE JUDGES KIT.
Judges must be age 19 or over, and have some recent experience (in the last 6 months) using whole plant cannabis. Some level of THC tolerance is preferred (we would like to prevent anyone from over-consuming or having a negative experience). Unless medically necessary, we ask that judges take a minimum 24 hour tolerance break prior to consuming any product from their judge kit.

This year, saw entries from 18 growers from across Nova Scotia, submitting cannabis in consideration of the following categories:
- Best Sativa
- Best Indica
- Best In-door Grow
- Best Out-door Grow
- Best Female Grower
- Best In Show
Judges evaluate entries based on certain characteristics and record their scores/comments in the online scoring platform. The First Annual Cannabis Cup Winner will announced, Saturday, November 16th, 10pm at The Red Knight.
